PRESIDENT WILLIAM TAFT

PRESIDENT WILLIAM TAFT

William Taft was the 27th President of the USA
A likeable fellow so the stories say
He served his country between 1909 to 1913
Here is my poem from what I have read and seen

Pitching the first ball of the baseball season
The first President to do so without any reason
An advocate for World Peace he has my respect
The USPS was also improved let's not forget

The legacy however of William Taft
Was being stuck in a bathtub oh the people laughed
Plumbers and tradesmen were duly called
A seven foot tub was fitted and quickly installed

The bathtub and this President have long since gone
However the stories of William Taft still live on

Dear Kieran,

When I think of William Howard Taft
I think not of his vast weight
I look to his collection of Antiquities
Which holds treasures very great

.
His mansion in Cincinnati
Is now a museum World renouned
With art and artifacts so priceless
Such beauty there abounds

.
The finest "Big Boss" connoussier
This country has ever known
So when I reflect on something heavy
It's my appreciation to him shone

Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
