Poem -

pretending..

Such a happy smile, but there is an end,

because at night she cries while daytime she pretends.

She seems to be so happy, but no one can realize,

that the girl who helps everybody cannot take her own advice.

She cries and washes away,

all of her sorrows from yesterday.

She prays to a god that she doesn't know,

and she holds on to someone that has already let go.

She stares back at her reflection, just like an infection,

blood pouring down, another one hit with depression.

The sun starts to go down,

she sees blurry all around,

all because she cries,

but no one can seem to realize.

Under her pillow is her beloved best friend,

because with her trusty razor, she doesn't have to pretend.

One slash here, one cut there,

before you know it, they're everywhere.

There's always something to lose, but never to gain,

and the blood drips down, but she feels no pain.

She always falls and takes the risk,

but fairytales, they don't exist.

Another day, a girl pretending,

so much for her happy ending.

Very nice poem, we all pretend at times, and sometimes we all fake it to make it,
