PRETENDING ANOTHER JUNKIE DAY

I've fallen from the shadows
cut up by a star
slashed a bloody river
injected Gods final lair
stood on snow-filled wounded cavaliers
sold that devil all those lies
swopped them for his fears

Drank from the hurt
listened to stuttering birds
burnt the offerings, collected at dawn
fled into shelters hidden storms

Spent my time
fast and slow
dragging steel chains
embracing the soul

It's late again
and im laying on the rested place
watching traces flee from the face
brown surrender patched in grassy green
Elbows extended onto fragrant disease

trying to fall
into your bones
im curling into my favourite shapes
teardrops and hearts
morning will find me
already the search has started
but you laying so secret and quiet

WILL I FIND YOU
AGAIN  xxx
