Pride Money

Linda and I are avid golf fans, we watch it every week;

As the greatest players in the world, a victory do they seek!

But just one time every two years, the Ryder Cup is played;

Where the U.S.A. plays all of Europe, but no prize money is paid!

For instead of paid in dollars, their pride is all they win;

But the competition is very riveting, from the moment they begin!

The U.S.A. used to dominate, and win the trophy regularly;

But for the last eight years the Europeans, have had a real epiphany

For they've ruled on every Sunday, and kept the trophy in their hands;

So America has been hurting, and made some strong demands!

We want the trophy back to stay here, you need to never lose again;

We need you all to come together, and a message them to send!

That we might have had a slight lull, but we're back in our full glory;

We can beat anyone you put up, even your Philistine, the mighty Rory!

And our dear boys received our message, and kicked some European ass;

I think this will now be a total dynasty, that for many years will last!
