prisoners of war

As i lay there in pain, soaked by the moonsoon rain,a fire in my belly took over my soul i realised that i would not survive if i slept my life away so i did what was asked of me i built them a hose i carried their logs all for a handful of rice, they beat me day and night as my fellow companions squrmed, but my enemies screamed in delight.
Blood dripping down my torso like a red ocean ,the sun so hot you could smell the human flesh rot,so i new i had one chance to escape to climb the tower and jump escape into a jungle of hope, where i will be free from the torture the hate i know so i did it i escaped i ran i did as good as any man, or soldier  who knows that if hes caught he will be hanged, and never again will he hear the birds sing or see his family again because hes dead,he will be just another body on the ground filled with maggots, his eyes closed hope lost his eternal light shut off.
I wasent going to end up as him so i ran sprinted for salvation for hope because god knows if im alive i should cope,i live in no regret as i sit in my chair knowing that if i stayed my body would have faded away i still here the screams of pain the gushing wounds the picture berried deep in my brain for i can never forget war and war can never forget meÂ
God saved me
