Prisoner

I'll wait for the day
When my captive gives me the keys
To rein my chains free
But my captive tsk's at
The thought of me being free
So it locks the doors
And chains me down

But alas you say you have a key
To let me go of all my misery
But I have fallen for this trick before
And now my feet are chained to the floor

The shackles get tighter
When I try to pretend that they are not there
But they are
Heaving me down
Impossibly closer to the ground
And it works
Every time I ignore
They bore
Into my skin leaving marks
That will stay forever
These chains keep me tight
Bound by my will
My captive must make me still
Progress is impossible
But I can still be chained more
For the only thing not bonded
Are my hands
My wrists are clasped
Shackled and cast
But my hands fein freedom
The only thing I can use
For my captive closed my mouth
By not my fingers with can write
All the words my mouths couldn't
