You promise your love is forever,
That you canât bear to see him gone,
That youâll shelter him through the weather,
But your heart you never pass on,
He buries  you in sentiment,
In his love and  all his fears,
He trusts you in supposed love,
And you shed your guilty tears,
For soon heâll have you to blame,
For the trap around his heart,
And now youâre stuck in deserving shame,
After casting cupidâs dart,
Ironic that you built those walls to protect your soul,
When it was you who held the knife,
You who held his soul,
And you who thieved his dignity,
While playing the part of the troll,
As they say, âpromises are meant to be broken,â
In life and in love,
But the price is the demon youâve awoken,
Because itâs you the devilâs whispering ofâŚ
