Promising Poets

Promising Poets

It was the best of times,
It was the worst of times.

It was the age of wisdom,
It was the age of foolishness.

It was the epoch of belief,
It was the epoch of incredulity.

It was the era of hope,
It was the era of despair.

It was the period of rationality,
It was the period of lunacy.

It was the Winter of obtuse critics,
Short lived by the Spring of promising poets.

Inspired by the great Charles Dickens and
his superb novel A Tale Of Two Cities.
