Protect

All I want to do is protect you from the world

Make sure that when you come you'll be set for good 

Keep you safe from harms way so your spirit won't break 

I pray everyday that God sends you my way 

Give me a second chance for my first mistake 

I just want to love you past all the pain I've felt in my lifetime 

And I feel so selfish for stopping your lifetime 

Who am I to say it's not the right time 

But I promise even though we haven't met 

I'll hold you in my heart for a lifetime 

I hope that you'll forgive me 

It hurts so much, I don't want you to go 

But I know if I send you back you'll be safe at home
