Proverb’s of yesteryear❤️

‘Two wrong’s don’t make a right’
These words are very true
‘A little praise goes a long way’
Much better than punishment too
‘An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth’
I’m doubtful of this line
‘The best defense is a good defense’
‘To err is human, to forgive devine’
‘You can’t judge a book by it’s cover’
How very precise is that
‘Forgive my enemy but shield thy lover’
‘There is more than one way to skin a cat’
Proverbs from bygone ages
Phrases developed since yesteryear
So much wisdom & common sense
For all wordsmiths to freely share
‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’
‘Don’t meet troubles halfway’
‘Do not bite the hand that it shall feed’
‘Truth will out’, ‘Tomorrow is another day’

Excellent, Jill.
This is a great way to get those sage proverbs of yesteryear out of obscurity and bring them to the forefront.
There's a lot of wisdom in many of them.
Well penned!
