"Pull Over Please!"

"Pull Over Please!"

In my northern New Jersey
town of 27,000,
the down town center is
a triangle of three streets,
a 5-6 mile drive.

Everytime I drove through town,
I easily passed two to three
police cars,
often finding one officer
tailing me and
passing at least
one police car
sneakily hidden to
ticket
speeders,
those already
paying property taxes to
pay our small town cops
$100,000 a year - while
the cops in Paterson are
averaging $78,000 a year.
How did that happen?

My small town
was now a
police state.

Black lives matter.
Gay lives matter.
Blue lives matter.
Do working class commuter lives matter?
Why must the cop-pers
harass the working class
who have a
mortgage,
bills,
health insurance
and
taxes to pay?

I want my police
officers focusing their
time and energy capturing
murderers,
rapists,
drug dealers,
burglers,
drunk drivers,
and
cold cases.

Let the workers focus
on getting to and
from their livelihoods.

Hello James...

That's why the rapists, murderers, robbers, kidnappers don't get caught right away...

The police have to reach a quota so the county can make more money...

Tickets and traffic violations are a business...

Just like people on vacation...

They come on vacation leave on probation and come back on violation...

Happy travels!

People needs jobs to pay for their infractions which is usually the cost of a paycheck or a year's worth...

Then they need money to cover their taxes so people can have multiple children for food stamps...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...

P.S. They're polite in New Jersey...

They say please...

Maybe, it gets the OUCH of the ticket?
