PURPLE DOOR

PURPLE DOOR

I'm writing about something I've never done beforeΒ
In the middle of my street there is a purple door
Going past I notice the curtains are purple too
The purple stands out from the traditional blue

The man in the purple house is an eccentric fellow
Only last week the door and curtains were bright yellow
I wonder why the sudden colour changeΒ
Purple and yellow are certainly weird and strangeΒ

Something about this man made me stop and think
Are the walls inside purple or perhaps a shocking pink
