Purple flower

Purple flower

A little girl she walks the path with a teddy in her arm, her mother wipes her tears away "I'll keep you safe from harm". She picks a purple flower  , such beauty in the sand, she clutches it with all her strength in her tiny little hand. But the journey just gets longer and no water is in sight, no food, no warmth, no comfort, will they make it through the night. The purple flowers wilting, it becomes heavy in her hand, the petals start to drop away and fall back into the sand. Their dream is slowly fading and hope becomes despair, yet the scent of purple flowers still linger in the air.
