Poem -

Pyramus and Thisbe

Like Romeo and Juliet our love was forbidden.
Behind these walls our faces were hidden.
But love filled whispers reached the other.
Not even these walls our fire could smother.

We set up a plan in the dead of night,
Meet by the mulberry tree before daylight.
Out in the distance with fur stained red,
I saw a beast and my heart filled with dread.

I ran far away from that mulberry tree,
Leaving my cloak that the beast did see.
Nows when the story takes a twisted bend,
Out of mistaken grief your life you did end.

I looked for you my love, but all I found,
Was your lifeless body on the ground.
Your love for me was your demise,
Unlike our love which never dies.
