QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE

All it took-
Was a woman tired of gettin' beaten
And tired of being cheated
No more feeling defeated-
Or left incomplete
The heart wants what it wants
And souls get what they get-
Until the minds of men won't get in the way
I got out of her way-
As she called to her sisters
There is power in numbers-
And they were ready for war
They still loved their children
And were still attracted to men
Not what they fought against-
But what the battle was for
Are men jealous of lesbians?
A season of womanpower
To break all the rules- except for love
To keep all secrets- 'til we're ready for the truth
Women of all races saw it as a party-
You know what they say- girls just wanna have fun
Queen of the jungle- Black Amazons-
And women of all races beat war drums
Some women stayed behind-
It's so easy to be weak
It's so hard to fight against-
A man's world fighting against you
Yet- the struggle continues
And why choose a Black queen?
She gave birth to them all-
And can you look at the Sun?
It's been a long time coming
Churches had to learn new songs-
Not only about God- but about His Mother
How could they possibly have forgotten Her?
Now the women sharpen their claws
Doesn't the lioness hunt in packs?
Men wanted to keep them divided
Can you hear she-wolves howling at the moon?
It's a new day when cats chase dogs-
Especially when dogs beg for mercy
A multitude emerged from the shadows of fear
It was war men wanted- and war they got
Women of all races saw it as a party
You know what they say- girls just wanna have fun
Queen of the jungle- Black Amazons-
And women of all races beat war drums

And of all races and creed come did they... Once up-once a mid-nights weary, came schools of women and what they weren't was dearly...... And after their festive interlude, they were filled....And untouched were you, left to tell their story....... And tell it you did.......Nice piece and full of innovation....
Later,
Jim
Very well wrote Mr. Whaley.......from woman's view, I was caught up thoroughly in poem and interested in how U would close.
