Question of belief.

Is there really a holy spirit, or do I just need something to believe in?

May the Lord protect my body and soul; I fear I'm getting old. As my skin wrinkles, I start to question the Lord's miracles.

Prayers sun up to sun down, can my prayers really end the suffering in the world, or is it just a trick played by the old?

I guess we'll never know.

Read the bible from beginning to end, hoping this isn't just all pretend. If it be, please tell my heart, so it can amend.

wow. this poem speaks to the human condition. it also speaks to a crisis of faith. and it touches most, if not all of us.
