A Quick Write

Leave it to her to steal my heart

And lock it in hers

To alleviate my pain

When I'm punctured by the world

It is her that arouses me

And brings me much joy and compassion

To boldly conquer and survive

This belligerent society

Though this is a quick write

And not much time taken

My heart and soul will linger on

With her and these words

I leave to say a temporary goodbye

Until we meet again

Your one and only love
