Poem -

The racist and the United fan

Hey, racists, please listen to this story:
There was a young man called Jamal Hussain
He's not white by the way, so for ignorants
They're probably all the same

One day a racist approached him
Shouting insults, intimidating, full of rage
The world which seemed so big before
Now to Jamal felt like a cage

The racist shouted for a few seconds
But to Jamal it seemed so long
And he stood there wondering
"What have I done wrong?"

You see Jamal was a lovely guy
Peaceful, helpful, overall - a good kid
So he just kept thinking to himself
"Was it something I said? Or did?"

The only think he could think of
Was, being a Manchester United fan
This person had seen his sports top
So, in order to fully understand

Jamal said, "is this because I support United
And your team is another?"
Silence. The racist knew it was so pathetic
To say "No, it's because of your colour"
