Ragdollyanna đź’•
My little Dolly Daydreams you mean the world to me
Although your legs and arms are threadbare, I will never throw you out you see
My Mother bought you for my birthday and that was sixty years ago
So the two of us have been together for all those years you know
Ragdollyanna with your wobbly arms and legs, my Mammy used to put you in her washing machine and hang you outside with two pegs
I remember touching you as you hung upside down to see if you were dry.. tho I knew you were only a dolly, I recall I used to cry
So my Mammy would have to unpeg your feet and turn you the right way around, with your wooly hair tied to the line so I stopped making a wailing sound
Oh my goodness me where did those sixty years go.. when I toddled around with my small pink pram with you tucked under a blanket below
You and I were inseparable, I took you everywhere with me.. even when my Mammy bathed me in the bath then that’s where you had to be
I know you were only made of material but I couldn’t let you out of my sight.. my Mammy had to dry you by our coal fire after my washtime everynight
