Rain Can Be Beautiful

Rain can be beautiful 
When it falls gently and lovingly
Making all the seeds take life
Shoving all the sprouts up to light
It can be fierce and pelting
Driving downward with God's directive
Purposeful and not relenting
Sending the floods and rearranging roads
Surprising impatient drivers into caution
I love the rain
When you put her sister wind with her
Then you get the poetry of storm
Of the raging elements that speak of inspiration
Of an intelligence with emotion more than spark
Of a creator that felt intensely
That loves and hates and dreams
Just like we do
Is that not odd to think?
That a God would be emotional?
Feel the thing he created?
Like rain
I know He loves to walk in the rain
So do I
