Rat trap

Struggling to move
 
And I don't know why
 
Nothing is wrong
 
Yet I want to cry
 
Paralyzed by I don't know what
 
Stop the rotating oh Earth!
 
I want to get off
 
Take a time out
 
Though I'm not sure the reason
 
As I continue to think it through
 
Actually, perhaps I do...
 
As if by staying in bed
 
I could turn time back a day
 
a week
 
or a decade plus
 
My procrastination
 
is simply an overactive imagination
 
wishing that by returning to the world of dream
 
I can materialize a time machine
 
Clearly I'm not impressed with how things have turned out
 
Perhaps that's good enough reason
 
to let a tear out
 
And after I permit myself to cry a little remorse
 
I'll regain my strength to get back on the horse
