Reality

My heart cried out 
With pain and grief
I shut my eyes to reality
I closed off my ears to apologies

I wanted to scream and shout
To let the world know my pain
For four whole years I bared the shame
Of knowing that to you our love was just a game

I was a pawn in their game of chess
The weapon they used against each other
The one that would never be more than a lover
