Realm

Realm

Been to a realm that time forgot

Imprisoned in dark, like baby in a cot

Watching clocks tick, always to the dot

Golden molten pools bubbling so hot

No matter who, fired the first shot

Another lifeless soul wasted to rot

If you like me it shouldn't matter what I've got

If you love me it shouldn't matter one jot

Searching these vast desolate plains

Seeking our riches, fortunes and gains

Implementing art foreshadowing aims

Making the myths, creating our names

Listening intently to a madman's claims

Intricate history, all this tapestry retains

Running like clockwork unlike the trains

Childlike states unleashed when it rains.
