Reasons to love the girl

Reasons to love the girl

Reasons to love the girl in the 2nd row 3rd desk,

Hold on a second, while I catch my breath,

I’ve been sitting either beside or next to her ever since the first grade,

Her beautiful smell every time the wind blows my way,

I use to untie my shoes on purpose , because her job in 1st grade was the shoe tier for an entire week,

Another time she went and got me a paper towel when my thermos got a leak,

She’s probably the most beautiful creature my eyes will ever see,

But it’s not her beauty that won my heart; it’s just that she noticed me,

She didn’t complain when she had to be my partner when everyone else called me names and said I stink,

She said hi to me even when everyone was looking, one time I swear I caught a wink,

She told kids to leave me alone, just when I thought the teasing would never end,

She held my hand,  and asked me if I was ok, and then called me her friend,

Things have changed a lot these past couple years, now that we’re in both High School,

More people notice me now, I’ve gotten taller and play sports, other kids call me cool,

She’s got a little heavier and now everyone says she’s the one that stinks,

Leave her alone she’s my friend I don’t care what anyone thinks,

She’s beautiful and that’s all I’ll ever see,

The Reason I love the girl in the 2nd row 3rd desk is, she noticed me.
