Recon

Recon

Drop me
Off
I will
find my
way

I know the mission

In the dead
of night
when you
sleep
I am
scoping
the
area

As
College Kids
are
vandalizing
Historic Monuments
I lay
waiting
for intel
to be gathered
against
those
who wish
to destroy
democracy

As Arrogant
Never lived
In Reality
30 Something
Berkeley Professors
mock what I do
to their Students
and tweet
about "White Privilege"
I am too busy
Painted in Camouflage
defending my country
to take notice
of what my skin
color has entitled
me
to

I am the American Soldier
My Skin Tone is Green,
I bleed Red, White and Blue
I not only accept that you
have the right to protest
I encourage it
as this is why I am here.

The only request
I have
is
 when
they take me
by casket
back to the home
of the free
Stand for the National Anthem
Leaving your protest
for another
Venue...............................
