Red Indian Reservations

Red Indian Reservations

Two Forks said that he had no satelite TV,
although he couldn't complain about the new Chevvy,
they'd cut the allowance now but medicine was ok,
could even get snake venom now, all on e-bay.

Three Moons had a power cut but fireflies were shining,
there were many disruptions since oil co. started mining,
'We don't live in teepees nowadays, gave us new huts,
they told us to just live there, no ifs or any buts.'

Running Bear still had feathers sticking out of his head,
at least when he went down trail, he still had street cred;
the tourists came with their snappy cameras and hats,
wanted souveniers, beads, moccasins and coloured mats.

Many of the young men went to towns, money and women,
what happened to brave Navaho, Apache and proud Cheyenne?
