Red thoughts

A thought can be a brick
a chain of them can make walls
Walls we build up or
Walls we make fall
We use them as guards
As guides
We use them as barriers to hide
In front of and behind
We use them as roads
To get places we want to go
But we cannot stop the flow
Sometimes we bury ourselves before we know
thought can imprison us
Or set us free
It's a matter of which way the thought paths lead
be aware of your thoughts
Let them lead with no regret
hate to find yourself trapped
behind thoughts of bad intent
