Who are you?
I sometimes wonder
Where do your thoughts lie?
Where your mind?
You live in a world
That doesn’t exist
In a polished platinum cage
Where your thoughts lie garbled
With deceit
Where your mind
Shakes the bars with its lies
Where your pain tears your soul
Where your sadness sheds your tears
But there is no way out for you
Do you want to get out?
Sometimes I feel the vastness of the skies
Is not for you
Treading ground that is unfamiliar
A known devil is secure
How long will you wait for God?
God helps those who help themselves
Forgiving and forgetting are not for me
They don’t exist in my being
The road of life is dusty
The boulders too wide
The flowers dry and winsome
A petal of hope in a barren desert
Woven by a red thread
The thread of longevity
And I will have to wait
