Redefining Darkness

Don't look at me like that

Like I'm the one who's wrong

You look sadly at my heart

As if mine's the one that's gone

Don't get me wrong I feel

But I just feel as though

I should speak what's real

And not just to appeal

To what others desire

And If I feel as though 

I'm currently in pain

My poetry effectively dances

Through the fire and that is my

Essence to observe, learn

Then project my every lesson

In a way that implies depression

 Or even recession that's the only way

I know how to get across my message

So when you see a sad face

With words to match the pace

Don't think me broken

Think me shining

.....In a bit of a dark way
