Reflection

Reflection

Wraith in reflect beckons in feign,
Fingertips reaching wanton, refrain,
A dramatist larks in dark in allure,
Smiling from mirror I stand before.

Splintered imagery amidst shards of glass,
Eerily present empty and crass.

Familiar spectre stares from abyss,
T’is all that I am I try to resist.
Greed and lies, anger subside,
Ominous in pretence, all I despise.

Sinister it smirks vacant in eyes,
Desperate to summon demons arise.
I hold out in fear grasping the light,
I will not give in without a fight.
