REGRET

I’m sorry I didn’t do your work for you; I just didn’t have enough time.
I’m sorry I didn’t have extra money to share. Sure, you can  just take mine.
I’m sorry that you made them laugh at me. Please won’t you try to be kind.
I’m sorry that we had that fight. U didn’t ask but I think I’ll be fine.
I’m sorry I can’t fix my flaws and become someone you could like.
I’m sorry that you’re so angry won't you let me help you find out why
And let’s talk to the counselor about the secrets that we hide.
I’m sorry that idea made you mad I can see the fury in your eyes.
I’m sorry you took it out on me that request that you denied.
I’m sorry but  I have to tell u that I cannot keep up these lies.
I’m sorry but you’re hurting me.  I can’t hold in the tears I need to cry
I’m sorry I escaped, ran from you and took you by surprise.
I’m sorry but I sensed the danger I was facing lurking deep inside.
I’m sorry witnessing your scared face when you see the police arrive
I’m sorry comes from your voice sounding so peculiar, almost shy.
I turn in shock as they guide you to the flashing lights outside.
