Reincarnation
By Mr WEI Abao

According to Wikipedia, reincarnation is a central tenet of Indian religions, namely Buddhism, most Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism and most Paganism, although there are Hindu and Pagan groups that do not believe in reincarnation but believe in an afterlife.
My English translation of a Chinese poem “A Tree In Blossom” by Taiwanese poetess Xi Murong (席慕蓉) is an example of love and passion after being incarnated as a flowering tree, after 500 years of praying. (*) Here is another poem, as shown in the image, of longing and reincarnation by my Chinese friend on a social media, and I translate it into English for sharing with the English speaking world. Once at the ferry port of reincarnation
on the bridge over the Acheron
only a sip of Lethe's water is taken
for you not to be forgotten
In so many dreams of mine
your face could faintly be seen
For the vow in ancient times, burning incense at dawn
and lighting up candles at sunset, it’s not for my own
cultivation. To be reincarnated thousand times
is only preparing my next life for seeing
you in the Sahā world, on the earthly earth

Lovely lines Yi... Warm regards.
Thanks Cleo, and wish you have a nice Christmas wherever you are.
Exquisitely beautiful x
Thank you for liking it, and wish you a Very Merry Christmas.
Very pleased to know you want that were yourself again in the next life, Cherie!
But here are a couple options for your next life though -
The worse options have been omitted for you such a cherry woman!
Always the heroine unfortunately for me. How about you.
For me, might be born in a different continent and more or less the same person ;) But there is no way to know one's afterlife unless God tells me in advance :) Regards.
Cool.
Oh yes magnificently done. 🌹
Dear Lord, Yiyan, you evidently put in the hours and not forgetting the will of effort to translate these poems.
Poems in English now never to be cast aside but to await discovery by any avid poetry reader.
It is real poetic food for thought displayed time after time and thank you for bountifully doing so.
Hope all is well with you and richly deserved respect to you my friend for your recent translations and all future ones.👍
Thank you very much, Shaun, for your kind words and encouragement. I'm always keen to find/read/translate good pieces.
Cheers,
Yiyan
Huge effort Yiyan! Congratulations on another awesome piece of work.
Greetings from Bernadete.
