reincarnations

my little buddy

Another sitting up late song
50 years from now
all dust and forgotten shroud
breath me in
touches of laughter a grin
breathe me out
ain't going to shout
easy there lover
only halfway has done

Another sitting up late drunk
60 years from now im weighted in wasted line
gods holding court
and live seated down
spilling all the golden crowns

hear I am
second on the bereft
mossy stones in my chest
skies an awful read today
leaking therapy every way
drank the leather of your boots
remember that place
lost control in darkest grave

100 years on
im still going gone
floated across all the oceans
sold
no shore but whiskey straight

whoops they cry
on our wanted waiting daze
im going away
again

again

again
