Religion Versus Science

False Dichotomies

Religion Versus Science

O those Christian
Fundamentalists really
get me down! They're
constantly calling for war.
And they hate those who
happen to possess
different sexual persuasions
from the ' correct' ones,
of their own 'good' selves.
In my view, these crazed
fools have way too much air time!
Hard wired to blind faith,
they wilfully ignore all
the delicacies
of calm science. O they give
real religion an
awfully bad name. Indeed,
in so many ways,
they radiate heresy:
They twist Christ's message
and use it for their own ends.
The true God is one
of Love, Grace and Compassion;
not the false idol
that they create. O can't we
stop for a second;
and smell the coffee?! We should
cross-fertilise old
and new notions within a
spirit of goodwill.
These false dichotomies are
pernicious. They don't
help us move towards the Light.
The Golden Mean
of Aristotle is what
is called for I think.
New centres of learning, that
fuse a wide range of
subjects, would be my ideal.
In the name of Truth:
Let a thousand flowers bloom!
