remember the light

a darkened cloud
in the light of my day
a shrill realization
nothing will be ok !!

a violent sound
a haunting shock
crippled with fear
when will it stop ??

from such balance
to this place
they've noticed the change
even in my face

slowly i die
the madness crept in
always alone
how do i win ?

then suddenly a light
im happy just "me"
excited about something
how can this be

my face makes a shape
not seen for a while
i catch my reflection
could this be a smile

then i remember

in times of struggle
the light is the way
hold of from darkness
and begin a new day

take a breath
and time to relax
take a step forward
dont let doubt hold you back

keep hope in sight
just stay focused
