Remorse

Remorse is gray
It looks like the demolishment of a future, the conclusion of many dreams
It sounds like the shrill of a scream, the shattering of glass
It smells like the incineration of family, the release of pepper spray
It tastes like the ash of a loved one, the flesh of a friend
It feels like the clenching of a fist, internal destruction
Remorse is worst of all, it is against oneself.
