Rendezvous to the Moon

Every time I close my eyes, I see us at the bay

I can’t see the stars I said, so you took me away

To a place I’ve never imagined to be in reality

Something like a fairytale destination only seen in dreams

You put me on your back to protect me from the dust

Everything arranged so perfectly as if the moon expected us

Stars so visible, so bright, complimented by the moonlight

Yearning to touch, but they’re as inaccessible as the power lines

I’ve never noticed how luminously the moon glew

Until I witnessed it with the captivating, almighty you

Or perhaps it’s just been that dim due to your absence in my life

Your ora resurrected me in what seems the perfect time

Basking in such beautiful silence I’ve never heard before

I’ve not ever imagined the existence of gravity to be no more

We were deep in the atmosphere, high off one another’s liveliness

Serendipity soon intruded but deserves no consequence

For she brought us here, the reason you’ll hopefully return

Chemistry so dangerous but we with pass the burns

The passion infested in your eyes complies with the abyss

The comfort you so for desire sets on my fingertips

Your structure as flawless as the ripples in the water

I feel like I belong here as much as the trawl and the otters

You soak up all the energy that secretes when I’m with you

You know exactly how to drain me without harming pursuit

With my nerves at rest, and my mind at such ease

You subconsciously provide the inspiration I dearly need

I’ve been losing sleep, slowly losing me since I’ve found you

No complaints, no restraints because I know my fate’s been rescued

What a blessing I’ve come across, I couldn’t ask for more

Lingering through my heart, inside my mind, throughout my core

You’re literally inside of me, reading me as easily as you breathe

If loyalty is your priority you’ll find my heart right at your feet

Everything you’ve said to me replays in my head

Just like a broken record that can never be repaired

I’m used to being the deepest of my advissaries, but shallow I’ve become

Overwhelmed by your intellect as my words and thoughts go numb

You coyly deny my praises due to modesty perhaps

But the mazes you embed in my mind absolutely make my heart collapse

Your perception so admirable I can’t believe I’m the first to adhere

Others just couldn’t invest in something mistakably they feared

We’ve already picked up jealousy by others who can’t see

The visions of our ambiance under our own lock and key

You don’t know how much I’m honored to relieve you of your stress

To calm your racing heart, and accompany your loneliness

As long as you can be at peace merely because of me

That may be the only accomplishment that I will ever need

Running through my mind, don’t forget to take me with you

Away with no directions where our vitals can be free too

The moon disappeared for a while, just as you will soon

But the dormancy formed in our hearts shall remain un-pursued

Until we meet again, until we meet again I presume

With your departure so near my dear you must dissolve into my dreams

For we’ll no longer have the nights that use to seem routine

My fears expand so devilishly knowing you’ll be out of site

But the impact that you left on me becomes my divine subside

There is only one moon, just like there are only one you

Whenever the night sky falls, your presence becomes my view

You don’t have to promise me, because those never prevail

But I’ll patiently await my rescuing that you offered to exhale

We’ve come to where I lose your gaze and we must bid a due

Desperately hoping you’ll reminisce, our rendezvous to the moon
