Poem -

Rescue

In a bad snow storm he found her
On a highway, bloody and cold
The man cried he watched it happen
from a moving car she was thrown

Broken ribs and teeth kicked out,
Might have to lose an eye.
They guessed she was around 6 months old
They said she'd probably die

But when she woke I was beside her
She looked me in the eye
I felt her pain, fear, worry
All I could do was cry

She healed up fast, with love and care
Seemed happy she was found
The Vet said she's better now
Time to move her to the pound

My heart was filled with panic
Said she's coming home with me
Might not be the richest gal
But this dog has set me free

I have always been alone
Never had someone to love
But I believe she rescued me
Was sent from up above
