Poem -

AT REST

I see it from a distance

the light within my grasp

to feel its warmth

shining on my withered shin

years have passed, minutes decay

trapped in a blinding maze

desperate thoughts tremble within

a little hope has filled the day

the anger has ceased with amaze

stepping just a little closer

my hands buried in the light

the journey of sorrow is at a end

not knowing who I was

lost on the road of grey

finally all regrets lay to rest

its the start of a brand new day
