Poem -

Resting Bones

Wake to the morning light with this gnawing voice

Eating my being from the inside

And what is left but thoughts of death

Love lost in a painful transcendence

I hear the music ring out

Children laugh from some distant dream

And as it seems all I can do is weep

Dead on the alter of life s cold silence

I see you and yet I speak not

For time is worthless threw these eyes of stone

And your beauty is always and  forever

Eternal grace on flesh bestowed

And so I go on though fallen

Blessed by the courage of unknown voices

Lord may the nightmare unravel that which binds

For life has grown weary

And bones to rest
