The sadness

The want to fill the empty spaces left by your departure
How these holes inside my heart are growing day by day
Increasing in mass
In size
In pain
Becoming canyons of emptiness inside of me
Leaving me unwhole, incomplete
Broken, and barely breathing as the weight bares down upon my chest
Crushing my lungs, trying to reach its way to my heart and succeeding
How do I stop it?
How do I stand from bended knee and still plead for your return?
How do I silence these screams so that you still hear my calls?
How do I unfold these praying hands white knuckles and clenched fists and still my pleas be heard?
I know not these answers
I know not of how to stop this ripping apart of my heart
But I know how to love you
Of this I am certain
Beyond all shadows of any counts
I will love you
I have loved you
For all of time and all of time yet to be
Return to me
Stop this crushing of my heart
Make me whole again
