‘Rewind and repeat’

Make ourselves a bit of breakfast..brew a pot of tea and scoff our nosh..

Some of us like walking out in the open air, but there are those who are not able so they have to stay put in their chair..

We switch on that goggle box and flick through all the stations...but how we miss normality to visit our relations..

Dinner time and tea time and supper time too..every day is just the same with nothing else to do...

I have started doing jigsaws to pass away the time of day..it helps to captivate my senses and whiles those weary hours away...

But of course this is in the comfort of my own four walls..and I get fed up of pacing through those familiar halls...

And then the darkness comes back once more..so we draw up our curtains and lock up that back door...

It’s just you and I my dearest sitting in the living room watching the television through this crazy Coronavirus gloom...

Then ten thirty p.m. and we are both ready for our bed, and alas there iis never that much rest for this weary head..where I lie wide awake just tossing and turning, thinking of this as I am wondering about that..with my constant, chaotic churning...

Well there will be some of us that sleep and the rest of us who won’t where the latter of the two..will be damned if they do and damned if they don’t...

But all-in-all what more can I say as I am only thinking my thoughts in my usual way.. 

Life as we know it in this moment of time..is a regular routine of no reason nor rhyme...
