Right

Right

I usually don't write a happy song.
But when I do, I hope you sing along.
That's right, I'm smiling tonight.
With your pearly teeth so white and your blue eyes, piercing mine...
That's right, thoughts of you on my mind.

And I know you've been hurt before...
And I know you don't wanna try, no more...
And if I keep knocking at your door...
Would you let me in, some more...

When we were snuggled up close that night, you asked me what was on my mind.
That's right, No, I didn't lie.
I felt your heart beating next to mine...
And what I did next wasn't fine...
That's right, I was crossing my lines.

And I said I've been played before...
And it hurt me to the core...
And if you keep knocking at my door..
Can I trust you not to hurt me like the ones before...

You pulled me close and whispered in my ear, 'I'm not here to hurt you, my Dear...'
