Poem -

The day that Jack Charlton died
The whole of Ireland cried and cried
He was more than a footballing centre back
He was their God and he was their Jack

Sure he had a good knock when Jack passed away
Gone to heaven I'm sure the Irish would say
He was a footballer of high renown
A king so worthy to wear such a crown

Jack touched the hearts of the Irish folk
Always smiling and ready with a joke
God speed Jack what a wonderful man you were
The whole of Ireland can verify and concur

Awww....I wish we all could be known and respected like this when we die...to be recognized and missed simply for who we are and our contribution in this world. Nice dedication. xo ;)
