RIP JACK CHARLTON

The day that Jack Charlton died
The whole of Ireland cried and cried
He was more than a footballing centre back
He was their God and he was their Jack

Sure he had a good knock when Jack passed away
Gone to heaven I'm sure the Irish would say
He was a footballer of high renown
A king so worthy to wear such a crown

Jack touched the hearts of the Irish folk
Always smiling and ready with a joke
God speed Jack what a wonderful man you were
The whole of Ireland can verify and concur
