Risen

I am actually elated
I had been feeling so deflated
I have loved and I have hated
Myself so much I debated

If I deserve to live
Do I have anything good to give?

I felt all I cause is pain
And I try to help in vain
But I was standing in the rain
Of my sorrows once again

The oceans of my past
Have receded now at last

I am actually elated
For a long time I had waited
And eventhough I hesitated
I am now dedicated

To really living my life
Letting go of the toil and strife

To move on from what I know
To new pastures where I can grow
A new me that I can show
The world I've risen from below
