THE ROAD

As I walk along the road of life
What lies ahead I cannot foresee
It's a comfort to know that I have someone
To walk the road with me

I know I can't see or touch him
It's his presence that truly inspires
To know that as long as I allow him inside
It shall be possible to fulfill my desires

At times the journey seems rough
And the load I must carry has grown
Still the more I struggle to forge ahead
The more I'm thankful not to be alone

When the road is smooth he's almost non-existent
When It's rocky he's never far away
And the times I feel that I can't go on
He's there to carry me through the day

I know only I can walk this road
But we all have a road of our own
So refuse to give up and above all have faith
Rest assured, you'll never walk alone
