Road Home

The road Damascus: a sworn conversion; and died such hatred;

And burned such fire: blind and thirsty; and souls pondered: a

Spoken testimony. Such flame and sword: a flickering faith;

And Christ called; and Paul answered: Is that you, Lord; and

Such passion, swarmed the soul; and such terror, whelmed the

Heart; and such joy, flood the mind. We nurture such doubt;

And fly such faith: a torn contradiction; and Spirit wails: a

Sudden movement; and we stare in awe: a feeling fire.

Something digs the heart; and something speaks in waves; and

We cry daisies; and we soar mystic: a touch of heaven; and so

Much to doubt: to ignore Love; and so much to capture: a

Flame’s fragment; and fall such knees: the deepest despair; and

Rise such knees: a leaping heart; and walk such strength: a

Private joy; and die such doubt: a sheared forest.
