He never mentioned money,
Looking back: seems funny.
'Funny' odd, I mean to say;
Just wasn't made that way!

We all fret much, today:
Counting, until 'payday'.
Possess all... not hard -
Slap-all on 'credit card'!

Credit's, good 'n' well,
But... can lead to hell;
We enjoy it " as we can,
Until: 'stuff' hits the fan!

Dad's right, & why not? 
"Don't spend, if not got!"
He'd never said as much:
Yet, lived his life as such!
