Romance by the Bay
Turning, twitching beneath tangled threads
Woven to keep her warm albeit the muggy air,
Her nose wrinkled up, eyes pat down
All this while, her mind ran wild
Sprinting to make sense of this town
They waited patiently, gave her time
He was all of twenty, she; seventeen
Along came by Youth, this adventure was theirs alone
Souvenirs and scars,
Riddles and rainstorms passed her by;
Alas, December was welcomed with a lullaby
Turning, twitching beneath tangled threads
Woven to keep her warm albeit the muggy air,
She who once longed for the Mountain’s affection,
Wanted nothing more than to sit by the Bay
As the Sea flirted with her hair…
