Roots
From a tree
sprouts tiny branches
that twist and turn
as they reach for the sun.
Covered in emerald, leaves
protect while adorn
and with every new line,
the rings of her trunk
remind and represent;
she stands tall and
proudly flowers with the
pride of all she bears.
